Virtual Reality
is the trending technology today. A lot of organizations are investing their money, time, and resources into the growing tech field.
Features Used In Developing Virtual Reality
- Head-mounted device; is a head-mounted device that provides virtual reality for the wearer. They are made up of stereoscopic head-mounted displays (providing separate images for each eye), stereo sound, head-motion-tracking sensors, and eye-tracking sensors. Virtual Reality glasses use a technology called head-tracking, which changes the field of vision as a person turns their head.
- Binocular omni-orientation monitor(boom); head-coupled stereoscopic display gadget. Screens and optic structures are housed in a box that is connected to a multi-link arm. The person using the instrument looks into the box through two holes, sees the virtual world, and can guide the box to any position within the operational volume of the device.
- Navigation peripheral device; it is capable of transferring and receiving information, while you are interacting with the virtual world.
- Trackers; they are the major feature in developing virtual reality devices, they affect the device’s processing unit. This transmits the direction of the user’s point of view which comprises a device with the ability to generate a signal and the signal is detected by the sensor. it controls the unit which is associated with the process of the signal and sends data to the central processing unit (CPU)
- Gloves; They capture full hand and finger action when interacting with the virtual world.
- Tactile facilities; links physical materiality with digital information to give you an interactive adventure, a feeling of touch is developed owing to haptic skin. The contact is formed through visual and auditory stimuli that replace sensations of skin in the physical world. Tactile virtual reality has electric actuators, and hydraulics, to give sensations to you to feel solid objects by applying pressure or resistance.
- Reality engine; is a 3D graphics hardware architecture and a family of graphics devices, it provides the tools to create the most immersive experience possible.
