JAMB Registration for 2023/2024

Feeling nervous about writing JAMB exam and what your JAMB score is going to be is normal.

But that feeling can get worse if you don’t prepare yourself adequately
through frequent reading and equipping yourself with information about
everything concerning the examination so that you can come out in flying colors.
First, you’ve got to check to see if you meet JAMB requirement before you can
start thinking of how to proceed with the registration.

Below is the list of JAMB requirements for candidate sitting for 2023/2024 JAMB examination;

• You have to reach the age of 15 to be eligible to participate in the exam.
• O’level result. You can get that from your Waec, Neco, Nabteb and if you
don’t have yet, you need to write awaiting result which indicates that you
are going to write your o’level exams.
• You also need a passport photograph which will be attached to your reg.
form.
• You must have a national identification number (NIN). No NIN, no
registration.
• Functional phone number because some important information about the
exam will be sent to you.
• You have to submit your Bio data like name, surname, local government,
state of origin etc.
• A valid email address is also required.
• JAMB past questions books on the subjects you are going to take exams on.
• UTME syllabus

Vital information about JAMB;

• Apply for JAMB form at the cost of (4,7OO naira).
• DE registration will commence on 20 January 2023.
• UTME registration begins on 14th of January 2023 and ends on 14th of February 2023
• Mock exams holds on 16th of march 2023.
• JAMB UTME exams begins on 29th of April and ends on the 12th May 2023.

After successfully completing your registration, here is a list of what you will
receive from the JAMB approved CBT centers;

• JAMB Recommended Novel for English (The Life Changer by Khadija A. Jilli)
• A CD: this will educate you on JAMB syllabus & it’s e-Brochure
• Your e-Slip which shows you are through with UTME registration.
• Remember that you will Reprint your slips (note this is available 7 days to UTME)

Profile registration

In order to generate your profile code which is unique to you alone, Use a
functional phone number to;
• Dial your NIN (00123456789) and send 66019 or 55019. Make sure you have
up to 100naira airtime in your phone.
• The candidate receives a 10-character code known as profile code
• Candidate then present the code in the procurement of form in the bank.
• E-pin is sent to the candidate via text message.
• He/she will now go to any JAMB accredited CBT center for registration.

Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) states that the following
information are very important and must not be neglected:

1. Candidates should not apply for UTME and DE at the same time. If any
candidate applies through UTME and later obtains a Higher qualification, the
UTME can be upgraded to DE at no cost. Double/multiple registrations
attract outright cancellation and prosecution.

2. Candidates are not permitted to register more than once. In the event of
any error during the registration process, such candidates are to seek
correction from the Board. They are not to obtain a fresh application.
3. Non-Candidates including parents/guardians or any proxy are NOT allowed
to transact any business on any candidate’s profile. The registration process
and all activities on candidates’ profiles are being monitored by the board.
Defaulters shall be severely sanctioned.
4. Do not give your password to anybody including JAMB Officials. These
security codes are not to be demanded at any registration center by any
person for any purpose.

Deciding on the institute of your choice and the courses that you would study;

It is important to know that applicant will be required to list out four institute and
courses while filling their registration form. Aspirants must make research to know
the institute that suits him or her well.

The first has to be a federal university, examples are

• Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO),
• University of Lagos (UNILAG),
• Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA)
• Obafemi Awolowo university (OAU),
• University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN),
• University of lagos (UNILAG),
• Ahmadu Bellow University (ABU),
• Federal University of Technology, Minna,
• University of Ilorin,
• University of Port Harcourt, etc. please browse the internet for more

The second a state university, examples are

• Abia State University, Uturu (ABSU)
• Adamawa State University, Mubi (ADSU)
• Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba (AAUA)

• Akwa Ibom State University, Ikot Akpaden (AKSU)
• Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma (AAU)
• Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Uli (COOU) and a many
more.

Third a polytechnic, examples are

• Yaba College of Technology
• Federal Polytechnic Ilaro
• Lagos State Polytechnic
• Auchi Polytechnic
• Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti
• Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri
• Federal Polytechnic Ede
• Federal Polytechnic Bauchi

While the fourth is college of education

• Abia State College of Education (Technical), Abia State
• Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi, Bauchi State (Nce Awarding)
• Adamu Augie College of Education, Argungu, Kebbi State
• Adamu Tafawa Balewa College of Education, Kangere, Bauchi State
• Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Ijanikin, Lagos State
• Akwa-ibom State College of Education, Afaha-nsit, Akwa Ibom State and
